The Testaments, three-episode series premiere on April 8th (Hulu Original), a new story set within the world of The Handmaid’s Tale. Based on the book by Margaret Atwood. A classic coming-of-age drama set in the oppressive pressure cooker of Gilead, the follow-up series will shift the focus from the handmaids to their successors: the young women being groomed for marriage to the ruling class of Commanders at the preparatory academy headed by Aunt Lydia, played by original series star Ann Dowd, who reprises her role among a cast of newcomers to the universe.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles (Comedy drama ‧ 1 season, premieres on Apple TV+ on April 15th, episodes released weekly). The daughter of a former Hooter’s waitress and an ex-pro wrestler, Margo is a recent college dropout and aspiring writer. Faced with a new baby, mounting pile of bills, and dwindling number of ways to pay them, Margo must find a way forward. Based on the book by Rufi Thorpe.

Prime Video

The House of the Spirits (8-episode Spanish drama series premieres on Prime Video on April 29th, weekly releases through May 13th), based on the novel by Isabel Allende. Spanning half a century, “The House of the Spirits” follows three generations of women – Clara, Blanca and Alba – as they navigate life in a conservative South American nation marked by class conflict, political turmoil and touches of magical realism.

Man on Fire — Netflix Series on April 30th. This action thriller, based on A.J. Quinnell’s book series, tells the story of John Creasy. Once a high-functioning and skilled Special Forces Mercenary known for surviving even the most desolate of situations, Creasy is now plagued with intense PTSD.
