Virginia Woolf’s Night and Day: September 4 in theaters Based on Night and Day by Virginia Woolf. Katharine Hilbery (Haley Bennett) loves astronomy. She wants to study and join the Royal Astronomical Society, but society rules and her domineering father stop her because she is a woman.
Marble Hall Murders (mystery series premieres on PBS on September 6th), the third and final limited-series adaptation of Anthony Horowitz’s mystery novels about the editor-detective Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville), debuts Sunday on PBS. This is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed fan-favorites Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders, which premiered on MASTERPIECE in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
Last Seen (thriller series premieres on Apple TV on September 9th), Police dispatcher Ian Ridley’s daughter Maggie disappeared years ago. Ester Expósito (Venus) stars as Marfil Cortés and Hugo Diego García (The Substance) stars as Sebastian Moore.
Crew Girl (teen drama series on Netflix September 10th), After a family scandal, teen rower Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) moves to a small town and joins an elite prep school’s all-boys crew, sparking rivalry and attraction. Based on the book by Sheila McClure

The Love Hypothesis (romcom on Prime Video on September 23rd), The Love Hypothesis follows Olive, a brilliant Ph.D. candidate focused on her future in academia. But when she realizes her best friend Ahn has fallen for her crush, Jeremy, Olive impulsively kisses intimidating professor Adam Carlsen to prove she’s moved on. What begins as a desperate act of friendship spirals into a fake relationship with rules, boundaries, and a mutually beneficial agreement. Based on the book by Ali Hazelwood.
A Tale of Two Cities (4-part series premieres on MGM on September 9th, released weekly to September 27th), adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novel. the classic Dickens’ tale follows the story of French Doctor Manette after his release from a long imprisonment in the Bastille as he goes to live with his estranged daughter Lucie. The story is set against the backdrop of the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.
